2. How soon should I apply for a visa?

Brazil visas must be utilized within (90) days of the issuance date.
You will not be able to enter Brazil no later then 90 days after the date stamped on your Brazil Visa.
If you do not enter Brazil during this time period your visa will be voided and you must reapply for a new visa.

3. What is the turnaround time for a visa?

Brazil offers a 2-3 day turnaround time

4. How long is my visa good for?

Visas to Brazil are always valid for 90 day stays. They are usually multiple entry visas valid for travel during a 5 year period, but they are sometimes only valid for a 90 day period. The Brazil consulate will decide how long a visa you will be given. You may request a 5 year visa, but that in no way ensures you of getting it.

5. How do I understand my visa?

DATE: This is the date the visa was issued. To "activate" your Brazil visa, you must enter into Brazil within 90 days of this date
STANDARD FEE: This is the standard visa fee. Any additional fees that are charged are attached to your passport as a receipt by the Brazil Consulate.
VALIDITY: This shows how long the visa is valid for. The visa above is valid for 5 years. Some visas will only be valid for 90 days.
VISA TYPE: This is a Type II visa, which is a Business Visa. We will get an example of a tourist visa posted soon.
ISSUE DATE: This is the date the visa was issued
VISA CONDITIONS: This is where you find out if you were given a 5 year visa or a 90 day visa. This section is often hard to read, for a larger view click anywhere on the visa

7. What is the difference between a single entry or a double entry?

Single entry visas allow you to travel into a country ONE time. Double entry visas allow you to travel into a country TWO times. That means you can go into a country, then back to the United States (or any other country), and then you may re-enter the country a second time. Your two entries must occur within the time constraints listed on your visa.

8.Why does Brazil work by jurisdiction?

A jurisdiction is the geographic area that a consulate expects their applicants to live in. Brazil ENFORCES jurisdiction. That means you must fill in the application form listed on our web pages for the appropriate jurisdiction, and the time frame that we can process the visa will depend on the jurisdiction that you live.

9.What do I do if I don’t have any more pages in my passport for a visa stamp?

If you need additional pages in your passport or you do not have 6 months validity on your passport. Click here for passport services.

10 Customer Order Form• Complete and submit the FastPort Passport Customer Order Form online. Once you have submitted the form, print a copy and send it along with rest of the documents to FastPort Passport. If the service fee is by credit card, make sure to sign the printed customer form.
