If you are traveling to another country outside of the United States and would like to be able to rent a car or drive while abroad, you will need to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP). Fastport Passport secures IDPs for our customers on a regular basis, and ordering one is quick and easy!

In order to obtain an IDP, the applicant must have a currently valid United States Driver’s License.

1. Compete the International Driving Permit Application, and print out one copy. Remember to write in the country or countries you will need the permit for in the space for “Foreign Address”. Complete every field or the application may be denied.

2. Submit two ORIGINAL passport photos each signed on the back. You can get passport photos taken at any CVS, Walgreens, Walmart or any store of that nature.

3. Submit a photocopy of both sides of your U.S. Driver’s License.

4. If you have an international travel itinerary or e-ticket, please submit a photo copy.

5. Contact your local AAA chapter for delivery.
